“An enriching and life-changing experience to say the least.”

— Kimia Shahriyar, Talaria Class of 2021

At Talaria Summer Institute, students produce professional medical and scientific research.

what our scholars are saying

“Coming from a town with little to no research or STEM opportunities and a low-income household, Talaria has opened my eyes to the many free resources there are to enlighten young minds. Before, I thought there was nothing I could do to lengthen my skills and achievements in my community but now I see that there are numerous programs and institutions online that prioritize those similar to me in making memorable passion-filled projects. In my month-long journey with Talaria, I realized that research and STEM are where I want my future career to lie due to the amount of joy and clarity it has brought me. When doing research, my curiosity and meticulous nature are stimulated, diving me into rabbit holes of engaging and new information encouraging me to discover more.” Read Allison’s full feature.

“My mentor helped me feel more confident in my researching/writing abilities, she gave me numerous sources to help me begin to research, she helped me properly cite my sources, and she reviewed my finished literature review. Most importantly, my mentor was helpful in providing me with a general outline for my literature review that served as a guide for what to write.” Read Ally’s full feature.

“I was researching a topic I was almost clueless on and wasn't sure how my mentor would pair with me in terms of interest and personality. As time went on, I became more comfortable and confident with myself and asking questions. I was able to really learn a lot throughout this program and develop a deeper interest in this field.” Read Sarah’s full feature.
