OUR GROWTH

In 2024 & 2025, Talaria is hoping to expand our programming in a number of ways.

2025 residential program

Talaria Summer Institute will host an in-person, centralized program for the first time in 2025. Approximately 40 students will be selected to participate—15 students will be accepted to conduct research in math, computer science, engineering, and physics, 15 to conduct research in biology, neuroscience, and medicine, and 10 students to conduct research in other miscellaneous STEM subjects. All aspects of the program will be free of cost for mentees, including housing, food, travel, additional learning experiences, and program fun.

Talaria mentee scholarships

Talaria Summer Institute hopes to be able to offer mentees scholarships of upwards of $5,000 that may be put towards the advancement of their research projects and education.

Absorbing ENVISION

ENVISION Research Competition is an accessible scientific research experience for female and genderqueer high school students. ENVISION provides high school students with experience in proposal writing and the opportunity to receive detailed and supportive feedback from its panel of over 400 judges, which comprises established scientists at universities leading STEM innovation.

ENVISION winner stipends

In the past, ENVISION has been able to offer its winners small monetary prizes. Talaria Summer Institute, however, hopes to be able to provide ENVISION winners with comprehensive stipends and resources to embark on their proposed research project.
