Paulina Texier

About Me

I am a high school senior living in Miami, FL and my pronouns are she/her. In regards to STEM, I am interested in physics, astronomy, and engineering. Outside of STEM, I dance, paddle-board, and SCUBA dive. I have 2 brothers and a fun fact about me is that I speak 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, and a bit of Portuguese and Russian!

Research Experience

I felt hesitant since I did not know anything about my topic at first, but, as I did more research, I started feeling excited to write such an interesting paper. Overall, my astrophysics research definitely influenced me to go into a physics-related field in college.

Mentorship Experience

My mentor and I bonded over our shared Hispanic heritage and even spoke Spanish with each other. Dr. Caballero was extremely understanding and helped with my research immensely.

Community Experience

I realized that the future is female! So many of the participants were so eager to share their knowledge and passion with others that it makes me hopeful that we will all reach our STEM goals.

Favorite Part of Talaria

My favorite part was definitely how individual each project was.
